What is HJRS
A collection of authentic research journals positioned in scheduled categories on the bases of different positioning parameters. Based on a propriety algorithm designed with the objective of promoting quality in research across various disciplines. HJRS provides a Subject Area Position of a Journal in a given Knowledge area.
HJRS uses a novel Journal Prestige Index (JPI) measure which is calculated as a function of global journal's prestige measures. The relative thresholds, decided by the respective technical committees of HEC, on JPI are used to classify Journals into W, X or Y categories. All six factors are given equal weight to ensure that no bias is introduced towards any single factor.
HJRS includes all the subject areas and subcategories according to JACS. This provides precise and fine-grained positioning metrics at three different levels; global subject area and subcategories which provides quality insights at all levels.
HJRS shares raw and the percentile score of parameters used for positioning calculation to ensure a sense of transparency is maintained. Detail scoring allows researchers to check the positioning of a journal in overall as well Category / Sub Category wise as well.
HJRS categorises research journal in the following categories, where W is the highest recognised category followed by X and Y.
